Cruise the Highway of Love:
in a tight, toned vehicle powered by your high voltage sex drive.

Award-winning fitness trainer Mikki Reilly has some insight as to how to shape your body and enjoy the ride. I sat with Mikki in the great outdoors of her Santa Barbara abode and
this is what she had to say!

Q. How does fitness and exercise improve your libido? Is that true first of all?

I think to a degree. Simply because you are going to be healthier due to the increased blood flow r

esulting from exercise. Exercise causes your body to produce more red blood cells and consequently more total blood volume. Think of the red blood cells as empty bottles. These empty bottles deliver a supply of oxygen and dispose of wastes. So you have materials for nourishment and energy going in and wastes products going out. This is what is known as the training effect. So when you exercise regularly your body becomes very efficient. Sit around and do nothing and this training effect deteriorates. Simple as that!

Q. Is exercise going to enhance your sex drive as well as your sexual experiences?

Besides the physical benefits of exercising the psychological benefits can't be overstated. The International Society of Sports Psychology reports a number of psychological benefits derived from exercise. These benefits include positive changes in mood, increased alertness and energy, and improved overall self-confidence. So if you feel good about yourself and your confidence is up, you have more energy, you'll probably enjoy sex more as well. And if your experience is heightened then you might be more interested in sexual pursuits.

Q. So it increases your sex drive because...sufficient blood supply, makes you feel better, self-esteem is up....

A. Yep! You're looking good and feeling good.

Q. What about the endorphins?

It's common knowledge that aerobic activities up the endorphins. It's why you see so many people on the cardio equipment in the gyms. No doubt, it improves your mood.

Q.. So you're in the mood for love?

A.. There you have it!!

Q. Tell me about pumping up your pelvic floor!

Kegelcisors! Doing your kegels!

Kegelcisors strengthen the PC muscle (Pubococcygeus Muscle), . This muscle is responsible for the health of the pelvic floor in both men and women.

Q. Should this be part of a woman's regular workout routine?

A. Uh, in a personal way, yes.

Q. So, what is a kegelcisor and what do you with it?

A kegelcisor is a slim, stainless steel barbell weighing about one pound. It is about 7 inches long and has 3 spheres in graduated sizes. These exercises improve pelvic muscle tone. Also, as a result you might experience sexual pleasure, an increased ability to experience orgasm and lubrication may improve. Once you get these mucscles in shape they are able to better support the organs that rest above them. It is good for the whole machine!

Sit down and semi recline with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Insert the kegelcisor into the vaginal opening. Clamp down on it while you pull it slowly from the vagina. Then repeat this exercise for eight to ten minutes. Once you've become proficient at this, you can continue to progress by adding kegel pull-ups to your workout. This is done by supporting the weight of the kegelcisor on the palm of your hand. Use your muscle to lift the weight from your palm. This definitely requires some practice.

Q. So regular exercise results in what?..high levels of sexual desire? Increased sexual confidence or frequency?

Personally I think its all very individual. I would be going out on a limb by professing to know the answers to all these questions, but it seems logical to deduce that exercise has a positive effect physically and psychologically.

Q. So, once you've got your endorphin level up and your kegels all set, you are ready to rock and roll!

A. Yep!

Q. So what about exercise in terms of impotence?

A. Impotence is a male problem.I don't think too many women are impotent. They may be non-orgasmic. Increasing blood flow is going to help both men and women. I think there are many different causes for impotence, some physical, some psychological,...but it can't hurt!

Q. What about the lack of sex drive for a male?

As I said before I think there could be a number of reasons causing a lack of sex drive. Either physical or psychological.

Q But how does exercise play into a lack of sex drive in a male?

A. It improves self esteem and, more directly, increases blood flow to the penis.

Q. And how about in women?

A. I think for women there may be a correlation between weakness in the pelvic floor and their sexual experience. So for women it is really important to do their kegels.

Q. So, If you're interest is having a healthy sex drive and relating in a healthy way to your significant other or partner then work out, exercise with weights, do cardio and it can do nothing but help you...and, Ladies, do your kegels to make those orgasms part of your routine!!!

Q. By the way, are there exercises for a larger penis?

A. (Baffled) Hmmmmm ....no
